I moved to Chapel Hill, NC in 2000 with my two younger children who were in high school at the time.  We chose Chapel Hill because the school system has such a great reputation.  Previously, I was a military spouse and moved around 17 times in 21 years.  We had lived in Germany, Niamey, Niger in West Africa, and SHAPE, Belgium.  To me, moving is a new adventure!  Which is why it is a natural step to help other people navigate the buying and selling process of their homes.

In the Army, we had a sponsor, someone that would introduce you to the new community; This is exactly what I do with families who are relocating to the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill).  I show you the area, then the neighborhood, then the house.  From our life as a military family, we learned that we could be in a harsh environment but if we have our community, we are happy.  That is why I understand why Europeans have castles on top of hills with people living close together for shopping, visiting, and safety.

I love Traditional Neighborhood Developement (TND), New Urbanism, Smart Growth, and Planned Neighborhoods - new and old.  While I take interest in in-fill and downtown revitalization, I support and highly encourage public transportation.  My experience is represented in my work in downtown Raleigh and the Research Triangle park (RTP) selling condos; in Chapel Hill selling houses; and in The Cedars Retirement Community selling retirement homes.  Since I tend to sell in new neighborboods, my clients and I begin with the community, then focus on the house.  My philosophy is that I ask the questions while helping and supporting my clients who make the decisions.

*I have the GREEN designation, CRS, e-Pro, and SRES.
